Spring/Summer 2010 Trends: Prints, Prints, & more Prints!
This spring is all about mixing and matching patterns together for a fun, fresh look! Nicole Miller, Miu Miu, Lela Rose, Vivienne Westwood, Moschino,and Rodarte are among the plethora of designers that used pattern prints in their spring 2010 collections. Each designer found stylish, interesting ways to create diverse and original looks with unique patterns The patterns ranged from basic floral and plaid to more intricate, original patterns of bright colors. The look of prints is easy to put together with the right pieces and accessories to make it complete.
The Anna Sui collection emphasized plaid patterns and lots of big and small floral patterns together with colors of lavender, black and white for the spring. The collection also had a 1960’s flare to it that featured a lot of mixing together of these patterns and pairing them with solid colored shirts and sweaters.
Carolina Herrera chose to weave pastel colors with clean white fabrics against tile-inspired and paint stroke patterns in her spring collection. The subtle, patterns implements lavender, auburn, and bronze tones, for clean, elegant day and evening looks.
Moschino played with colorful, youthful prints of hearts, cherries ,and water paint floral to create a diverse collection of dresses and skirts. From halter to cocktail, each style of dress featured an eye catching pattern of colors. Moschino also paired basic colored skirts or jackets with pattern prints and mixed different prints together to compliment one another.
